Our enthusiastic and highly motivated sports, fitness and wellness professional, Phil has a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 20 years employed in the Sports & Leisure sector managing, coaching and working in business development. He appears on the Register of Exercise Professionals, is a fully qualified Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Weight Management Coach, Fitness Coach and is also qualified in Sport and Recreation Management. Phil is a Member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning and UKActive.
Working closely with our Landscape Architects, Phil creates and designs sustainable outdoor fitness trails, exercise areas and well-being environments in both the private and public sector. Passionate about physical activity, he has turned his skills from the gym to the outdoors, using his expertise and recognition of fitness principles, with a great understanding of cardiovascular, resistance and bodyweight training, physiology and bio-mechanics. With a vast understanding of exercise prescription he designs outdoor areas to cater for a full spectrum of training needs and programmes for all levels of participants, from beginner to Olympic athletes. You can be sure Phil knows how to make the best of the outdoors to encourage an active lifestyle and how to achieve a wide range of personal goals. As a fully qualified nutrition and weight management coach, he also recognises that it’s not just all about the exercise you’re doing, it’s equally important, if not more so, that you fuel your body with the right nutrients. Phil’s work extends beyond designing and includes advice and training as part of a package of fitness and wellness services.
As a highly experienced fitness athlete and competitor, he leads our in-house ‘feel good’ exercise sessions in recognition of the need to take a break from the desk and the great revitalising experience that this can offer!
He also has good experience as an environmental technician and provides support on a range of surveys across the business.
