Charlotte is a Consultant Ecologist with five years experience. She holds survey licences for hazel dormouse and bats and is an experienced ecological surveyor. At Johns Associates Charlotte manages her own portfolio of projects and prides herself on her ability to establish good working relationships with clients and statutory consultees, meeting deadlines and providing robust advice.
Charlotte has experience of undertaking extended Phase 1 Habitat surveys, preliminary bat roost assessments, BREEAM assessments and Phase 2 surveys (including bat, badger, dormouse, reptile, otter, water vole and great crested newt, including eDNA and HSI assessments). She has also acted as the Ecological Clerk of Works with regard to badgers, nesting birds, reptiles, amphibians and dormice and is an experienced reptile (grass snake) handler/ surveyor through her involvement as the ECoW for a large-scale residential development. Charlotte has experience of supervising contractors on site, delivering toolbox talks and completing EPS licence applications and method statements. She regularly produces ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments, Ecology chapters of Environmental Statements and technical notes, Ecological Management Plans and mitigation strategies.
