Liz Johns, BSc (Hons) MSc CEnv MCIEEM MRSB

Liz is the founder of Johns Associates and has led the company from its inception. Liz is an experienced ecologist and environmental manager, with a strong background in environmental biology, aquatic resource management, ecology, (both terrestrial and aquatic), impact assessment and Environmental Risk Assessment and CDOIF. She has held full membership of CIEEM since 2001, Chartered status (CEnv) since 2005 and has 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors. Liz trained as an aquatic ecologist and spent the first 6 years of her career as an ecologist with the Environment Agency, where she undertook ecology surveys and provided comments and advice on planning applications, capital works schemes and applications for a range of Agency consents as well as attending pollution incidents. On moving into the private sector, Liz gained a wealth of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including pipelines, rail and road schemes, strategic residential developments and utilities.

Away from her technical work, she oversees the financial direction and day-to-day management of the company.  She is able to combine her understanding of environmental regulation with the commercial needs of our clients to ensure Johns Associates delivers robust and efficient services.
