Jules has been employed by Johns Associates since June 2011, when she started working as a part time intern, assisting in a range of protected species surveys, including bats, great crested newt, badgers, dormouse and reptiles.
Following the completion of her degree she joined the company full time as an ecologist, working with the team to devise and implement a range of ecological surveys and management plans for clients. She has also been involved in Recreational Impact Assessments for a number of different projects, including assessing the cumulative impacts of developments on highly protected areas such as Chichester and Langstone Harbours and the Dorset Heathlands.
She has participated in the Avon Wildlife Trusts Living Landscapes Project, the Mendip Big Bat Survey and the Mendip Adder Survey. She is currently studying towards an MSc in Biological Recording with Manchester Metropolitan University.
