Josh Pearce, BSc (Hons)

Josh joined Johns Associates in 2020 as an Assistant Environmental Consultant, providing multidisciplinary support to the countryside, ecology, GIS and water service areas of the company.

Josh’s main background is in the countryside sector. He holds multiple NPTC and Lantra accredited qualifications and has experience working with numerous habitat types, having previously worked for the National Trust in the Fens, been responsible for 180 in-house livestock as part of a conservation grazing strategy as well as heathland and woodland management for the RSPB in Devon. Most recently Josh worked implementing the restoration/management of calcareous grassland and woodland sites across the Avon and Somerset area.

At University, Josh studied environmental management and geography where he learned the fundamentals of geoscience and GIS. At Johns Associates he supports Jacob in producing mapping outputs for projects across all service areas and has also provided support on surveys to gather a range of environmental baseline data to inform catchment-based Drought Plans for a water company.

Josh is an enthusiast of heritage craft, particularly coppicing, hedgelaying and dry-stone walling. He also enjoys sport and travel.
