Isabeau has been a Senior Landscape Architect at Johns Associates since early 2013. She is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 13 years experience. She’s worked on a wide variety of projects of different sizes – from small wildlife gardens to large mixed-use developments. This includes feasibility and capacity studies, report writing and design work, both at master-planning stage and for outline and detailed planning applications.
Her experience covers the leisure, educational, residential, commercial and the minerals / landfill sectors. Isabeau has written a number of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, including independent studies as well as contributions to Environmental Statements. She also has experience managing the tender process for landscape contracts and as contract administrator, overseeing hard and soft landscape works on-site.
Isabeau is familiar with working within a multi-disciplinary design team, including architects, engineers, ecologists, arboriculturalists, hydrologists and soil consultants. She understands their various concerns and interests, and strives to build these into multi-functional landscape designs. Equally she has experience working with statutory and non-statutory stakeholders, such as Local Planning Authorities, Natural England, Local Wildlife Trusts, English Heritage and the public.
Isabeau has a particular interest in ecological and sustainable design, as well as planting design, which is founded by her horticultural and ecological design studies. She is a Mentor on the Landscape institute’s Pathway to Chartership scheme.
